How can I get help paying for food? You qualify if you:
- Receive full Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Are a Michigan Resident
- Are not currently receiving Food Assistance Program benefits (Also known as FAP, BRIDGE CARD, SNAP or Food Stamps)
- Meet the SSA definition of independent living.

Currently The State of Michigan is mailing outreach applications to those who pre-qualify by standard mail.

Benefits take up to 30 business days to process.
